*My "ART Life:" I work in oil, pastel, graphite, silverpoint,
watercolor & pastel pencil. I left Maine after graduation for the Berkshires, (Massachusetts) where
I studied under nationally known artists, William Shultz, M.P.S.A. & Paul E. Decker, N.W.S. I exhibited
in several shows and festivals and received invaluable critiquing and encouragement from Norman Rockwell, Norman
Kent, N.A. & Robert Brackman, M.P.S.A... I then moved to Carmel-By-The-Sea, the famous artist
colony in California. I exhibited there, in Monterey, Cannery Row and at the famous "Sabido & Domingo" in
Santa Barbara. My work also hung in the Dewey Gallery in Salt Lake City. I then moved "back home
t'Maine" - my little home is surrounded by the Maine forest - and have had several "one man" shows in the DownEast
area including the Samoset Resort and the Parks Gallery in Bangor. My work is in collections all across the US (inc.
Alaska & Hawaii,) Canada and Europe.
Miniatures: I discovered the fine discipline of miniatures a few
years ago and love the genre. I am now an exhibiting member of the prestigeous HILLIARD
SOCIETY of Miniaturists in Great
Britian, with paintings just back from two exhibits there.
I am also a professional photographer, writer and award winning columnist - my column has been
running for 20 years. Most of all, I am a mother of 5 and have 15 grandchildren. This provides plenty of subjects for
my portrait work! A few years ago, I discovered a new excitement in painting landscapes, after decades of concentration
on portraiture. I am certainly in the right place for landscape vistas! I sold my miniatures on Ebay for some years
and, at the invitation of eBay, did an online tutorial for them on the history and art of miniatures.
I have finally been able to tie the two ends of my life together, completing the circle of being
able to make my living without stepping foot off my land - except to take photos and go to the post office! We can
be unshackled from the tyranny of working for others - of having to leave our homes to work and have the hours
of our days determined by someone else. AND this freedom also comes in being able to make our purchases without spending time
in travel and being bombarded by sales people and impulse buying. We win on both ends! Although I love a lot of things from
"the old days," I sure love this new technology that allows us to reach out and 'meet' people from all over the world - I
really enjoy 'meeting' you folk!

" full figure, add 30%
For additional subjects in same painting, add 50% to your selected size & pose
(NOTE: it is recommended to have single subject portraits
as they last hundreds of years and become family heirlooms. Each person will eventually want their own portrait "for keeps"
and to hand down to their families. Avoid the future feuds!)
* Silverpoint:
Silverpoint is an ancient drawing technique of the Old Masters, like da Vinci and Michelangelo, of etching with a silver instrument.
Silverpoint renders a delicate drawing. It is archival, won't smudge and renders a softness unique to silver. Left unsprayed, it will tarnish and
darken, giving it a lovely soft patina. Sprayed, it will stay as is, and when glanced off light, will shine like polished
silver. You decide.
(NOTE: Quality print - for those grandparents and other relatives! - on quality photographic
paper: 4 per sheet, 2 per sheet and one per sheet (8 x 10) @ $18 ea. sheet
Miniatures:
Miniatures are exacting and can take more time
than their larger counterparts - and more eye strain! It takes a minimum of 1 and more weeks. It is an ancient art,
still much in demand in Europe and becoming much appreciated in the states now - with several fine miniaturist societies.
(I am an exhibiting member of THE HILLIARD SOCIETY of Miniasturists, Great Britain.) A miniature portrait ordered
through the Hilliard Society starts at $700 (500 pounds sterling).
(This is the MINIMUM pricing for miniature portraits through the Hilliard Society.) (Frames: The traditional gold
finish oval frames are handmade in England with the convex glass - neccesary for framing watercolor miniatures - made by
a separate craftsman, also in England. Such frames are unavailable in the U.S. ). email
me a photo for consultation. tucker777ridge@yahoo.com
I do many of the Old Masters, (da Vinci, Michaelangelo,
etc., the Impressionists, (Renoir, Degas, Cassatt, etc.) the Pre-Ralphelites, (Burne-Jones is my favorite,) and others. (See
examples in my other galleries here.) They start at $350., the price being determined by the intricracy of the painting. If
you have a favorite, email me for consultation. Some old masters and impressionists are too involved to successfully translate
down to miniature. THANK YOU. See you there.
