My Gallery will be a constantly changing "Show" of my miniature paintings
and Portraits - an ongoing "Artist's Opening." This will give you an overall view of my work. For currently available
miniatures and/or "tiny" paintings (there is a technical difference, which I will get into at another place,) there will be
a listing of current miniature/tiny paintings and a separate listing for portraits, called - Portraits. (I believe in simplicity!)
And don't forget to "bookmark me" - and check back for all the Country, Old Timey stuff, (stories, poetry (up &
running - check list, upper left) recipes, home/herbal remedies, little ways to save BIG$$$, etc., that will be coming
soon...) as outlined.
Click on Gallery and Gallery 2 (above

My "ART Life:" I work in oil, pastel, graphite, silverpoint, watercolor & pastel
pencil. I left Maine after graduation for the Berkshires, (Massachusetts) where I studied under nationally
known artists, William Shultz, M.P.S.A. & Paul E. Decker, N.W.S. I exhibited in several shows and festivals
and received invaluable critiquing and encouragement from Norman Rockwell, Norman Kent, N.A. & Robert Brackman,
M.P.S.A... I then moved to Carmel-By-The-Sea, the famous artist colony in California. I exhibited
there, in Monterey, Cannery Row and at the famous "Sabido & Domingo" in Santa Barbara. My work also hung
in the Dewey Gallery in Salt Lake City. I then moved "back home t'Maine" - my little home is surrounded by the Maine forest
- and have had several "one man" shows in the DownEast area, including the Samoset Resort in Rockland and the Parks Gallery
in Bangor. My work is in collections all across the US (inc. Alaska & Hawaii,) Canada and Europe. I have done
invitational exhibits and demonstarions at the Hutchingson Center College in Maine and as an exhibiting member
of the prestigeous HILLIARD SOCIETY of Miniaturists in Great Britain, exhibiting
miniatures there in Wells, and in Taunton Castle, Taunton, Somerset, U.K...
I am also a professional photographer, feature writer and award winning columnist - my column
has been running for over 20 years. Most of all, I am a mother of 5 and have 15 grandchildren. This provides plenty of subjects
for my portrait work! Last year, I discovered a new excitement in painting landscapes, after decades of concentration
on portraiture. I am certainly in the right place for landscape vistas! I have just started my eBay "studio" and feel
I have finally been able to tie the two ends of my life together, completing the circle of being able to make my living without
stepping foot off my land - except to take photos and go to the post office! We can be unshackled
from the tyranny of working for others - of having to leave our homes to work and have the hours of our days determined by
someone else. AND this freedom also comes in being able to make our purchases without spending time in travel and being bombarded
by sales people and impulse buying. We win on both ends! Although I love a lot of things from "the old days," I sure love
this new technology that allows us to reach out and 'meet' people from all over the world - I really enjoy 'meeting' you folk!
